Hi, I’m Manami. I grew up in Hiroshima, Japan, and now call Roseburg, Oregon home.

Kuma’s Table is how I share the Japanese home cooking I love. I make handcrafted bento, cater gatherings, teach cooking classes, and bring food to local events. I enjoy using fresh, seasonal ingredients and preparing each meal with care.

“Kuma” means bear in Japanese. It was my childhood nickname. Now that I live among Oregon’s mountains and enjoy powerlifting, it feels like the right name for this chapter of my life.

I spent over a decade working in Japanese restaurants in Japan and New York. These days, I’m happiest sharing food that brings people together and a little of where I come from.
